Lineas de Nazca (aka Luca Ortega) was formed in Mexico City. He has been all over Europe bringing the sound of today’s mexican underground electronic movement. He had releases on Dapayk’s label Rrygular with his friend Mikael under their alias: “Ortega & Stavostrand” as well as Solo Releases (Lineas de Nazca) on berlin based label Eintakt!
Lineas de Nazca’s tracks can be found on mixed compilations by Luciano, Jeremy P. Caulfield and Craig Richards. He’s been remixed by well respected artists such as Mikael Stavostrand, Jacek Sienkiewicz and Franco Cinelli. Designed to explore and give a flow to the sound within, Lineas de Nazca’s sound is dense, minimal tech funked & spiced with twisted samples while creating endless rhythmic structures.
For ‘La Gorgona’ Luca has been working at studio with his old friend Telly Quin in Hamburg. They’ve been recording several sessions using different drum machines and analogue gears. Their sessions resulted in two creative cuts ‘La Gorgona’ and ‘2 de Noviembre’.
This Ep comes along with spicy remixes from 2 of todays highly acclaimed Latin American electronic music artists. Argentinian virtuoso Franco Cinelli delivers a very hypnotic and deep interpretation of ‘La Gordona’ while chilean talented artist Alejandro Vivanco stays more on the melodic & tech/house side.
Franco Cinelli has become one of the most esteemed producers in the ‘minimal world’ with countless releases, ep’s and remixes.
His schedule of 2009 contains releases on labels such as: Esperanza, Adjunct, Hometown, Weave, Sunset, Produkt, Claque Musique, International Freak Show
and Hello Repeat?.
Well, he’s definitely setting his name down on the underground scene.
Alejandro got involved and attracted by the emerging electronic chilean scene and first stepped ahead to the turntables. He is a highly recognized and respected international Dj. Since 2004 his tracks can be found on labels like Cadenza, Kahllwild, Dump/Unit, MIS Records and Eukohouse just to name a few.
